Barry Burke
Barry is a dynamic and enthusiastic IT professional with over 20 years' experience spanning software development, systems analysis and business consulting. He brings a proven ability to understand complex client problems and deliver practical solutions, combining deep technical knowledge with excellent stakeholder engagement skills and a strong belief that great products and services are built through collaboration.
Barry's career began in software development, as an Analyst Software Developer and later Senior Business Analyst, giving him a strong technical foundation that underpins his consulting work.
He has held roles at Chorus NZ, the Ministry of Social Development, and Optimation, before taking on a product ownership role at Blue Tree Systems in Ireland, managing telematics SaaS platforms. He also worked as a Business Analyst at IBM Watson Health in Dublin and most recently at FINEOS in Wellington. Barry is outcome-oriented, skilled in eliciting and analysing requirements, and adept with tools including JIRA, Confluence, Balsamiq, Sparx EA and MS Visio.
